About ReachAcross
ReachAcross had its beginnings in 1952. Its founder, Dr Lionel Gurney, was a young medical doctor and was trying to determine God’s call on his life. Someone challenged him to work among the Afar in Ethiopia. He went and that was the beginning of his burden for Muslims, a people group that others often told him were “too hard”. He chose the name Red Sea Mission Team, indicating where the Team was to concentrate. Today we are called ReachAcross and seek to share God’s love wherever Muslims are. ReachAcross offers its workers flexible structures and
approaches to best respond to individual circumstances and ministry areas.
